I loved the start of this chapter. To see Edward, not as the cool I'm-confident-in-this-relationship personality we know, but jealous, unsure, and tortured that the man across from him is filling the roll he should be in. Then to shift into a cocky man knowing that he had this woman mere hours ago. I like this Edward. I like the fact that he has to work for her. A.Lot.
The conversation between Carlisle and Edward in which Carlisle points out that Edward has had Bella's version of their story at his fingertips this whole time, but has remained impervious to it.
Finally, "my soul". What I am anxious for now, is despite his grand epiphany, it doesn't mean that anything has changed for Bella. Will it? Can she forgive him? Will she?
