The type of information that will tarnish Bella's reputation and her chance of getting a job in her field of study. It will absolutely strain any relationship Edward and Bella may have. This does not bode well.
Until you dropped that bomb, I loved Edward and Bella's interaction. The way she made sure Delilah had a perfect day, and that Edward could just enjoy it (as much as he could). Then she was there once again to take care of him at the end of his stressful day. I think BxE are everything that each other needs, but there is a cloud hanging over them. Shackles of the definition of their professional relationship.
